Alyssa’s Law Resource Center

About Alyssa’s Law

Alyssa Alhadeff was a victim of the heartbreaking school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Her parents founded Make Our Schools Safe, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing school safety. One of their major initiatives is advocating for the nationwide adoption of Alyssa’s Law, so that no parent endures the same tragedy they did.

In an emergency, time equals lives. Alyssa’s law aims to reduce emergency response times by equipping all faculty and staff with personal panic alarms. By facilitating rapid communication with law enforcement and emergency services, the goal is to minimize response times and protect lives, especially during school shootings.
