Communicate More Efficiently with Visual Campus
The traditional method of communicating with others in the building is a print-out of phone extensions that are used to page into a specific classroom, and vice versa. But with InterCom+, calls from the front desk to classrooms, specific zones, or an all-building page can be made using the native mic and speaker on their computer with an interactive map of the school. When certain speaker(s) are selected, you are then connected to your desired classroom or zone, as well as given the option to mute or hang up your call.
Versatile options are available for calls from the classroom, but the traditional “call-in” button can also be utilized to maintain what is already understood. Visual Campus users can also zoom in and out on different buildings and/or floors, giving them the ability to page district-wide, by building, by zone and by classroom and anything in between. Each InterCom+ user can set up pre-configured and fully customizable messages that can be sent out with the touch of a button. Plus, your most frequently used or most important emergency messages (up to eight) can be pinned to the top of your dashboard to allow for quick access on any web browser with access to LSI’s new user interface. Imagine being prepared to quickly send out any security alert or paging message at a moment’s notice with the tap of just one button.
Bell Scheduler Capabilities
The LSI Bell Scheduler offers not just the traditional capabilities like tones for classes starting and ending, but also allows the flexible scheduling of reminders and audio files. Automated messages can play at the start of a specific class period, or audio files can be played during passing periods for announcements or even chosen music. And again, this feature is available to any user with the proper credentials and a connection to the server, either on-site or remotely. With the expansion in other LSI features, users can utilize the bell schedulers to send out reminders, class changes, etc to many other types of devices – including both audio AND visual endpoints!
InterCom+ Goes Beyond the “Standard”
You can even go a bit further with your InterCom+ system by integrating our special add-ons or “layers” in your district. The PC Alert feature is a scrolling message that appears when an incoming call arrives within a classroom – page not only the classroom but the user themselves through PC Alert. Or, use our mobile app to receive focused “pages.” The mobile app also allows administrators to initiate emergency alerts or important messages from any smart device in just an instant.
